Founded in 2014, Fensom Advisory is an experienced international communication consultancy, headquartered in Australia with satellite offices in Canada and Japan.

Our firm provides a full range of investor relations, public relations, government relations, digital marketing, marketing communications, issues and reputation management and strategic advice to clients ranging from ASX 200 companies to small caps and pre-IPO firms, including professional services firms and entrepreneurs.

Anthony Fensom

Managing Director

Anthony Fensom is an experienced practitioner in corporate communications and media, having worked for more than two decades in the financial and media industries in Australia and Asia. Anthony’s experience includes four years with the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in Brisbane and Sydney, six years in Tokyo as a staff writer for Japan’s top newspaper, and nearly two decades as a senior communications adviser in Brisbane. Throughout his career he has delivered multiple successful campaigns and projects for ASX-listed companies, global mining organisations, and international conglomerates.

With client projects spanning mining, technology, agriculture, and finance, Anthony has an extensive track record for supporting dozens of major firms, enterprises, and even start-ups across both Australia and Japan. His extensive network, built on the foundation of his seasoned career, opens doors and creates opportunities that transcend geographical and industry boundaries.

Bosco Anthony

Chief Strategy Officer

Bosco Anthony is a seasoned digital strategist, disruptive storyteller, marketing futurist, and international speaker with a background in corporate leadership, business operational maturity and entrepreneurship. His career has encompassed over 1,000 digital projects, and 500 strategies in over 200 different sectors nationally and internationally. He is known for being an influential business leader, having spoken at Tedx Stanley Park as well as at over 1,000 global events, conferences, and workshops.

Bosco’s design thinking approach, ideology and methodical execution of digital strategy, performance marketing, brand immersion and business development growth strategies have helped numerous brands bring their story to life. He assists his clients to navigate critical thinking from ‘What is’ to ‘What if’?

Sam Aarons

Director, Investor Relations

Sam Aarons’ expertise is on elevating our clients in the investor community, fostering robust relationships and enhancing market value with her adept networking, strategy, foresight, and financial acumen. With decades of financial markets experience, Sam has developed an extensive network of broker relationships across Australia which have been instrumental in numerous successful roadshows for ASX-listed companies.

Her strong focus on client communication and excellent interpersonal skills together with her extensive industry knowledge enable Sam to build long-lasting and successful client relationships.

Thomas Lee

Thomas Lee specialises in public relations, media strategy, systems development, corporate messaging, information technology (IT), investor relations, and board advisory.

Drawing on his work across Australia and South Korea – underpinned by a Master of Business – Thomas offers intercultural insight, rigorous research, adaptive problem-solving, corporate strategy, and clear communications to deliver measurable outcomes. His work is a key component in strengthening internal strategy, sharpening client branding, and building public interest across domestic and international markets.

James Canning-Ure

Capital Raisings

James has been in the mining industry for the last 25 years on Boards of Mining companies and doing roadshows to over 60 stockbrokers all over Australia for the purpose of Capital Raising as every junior mining company needs to constantly raise funds.

Capital raising is all about connection in finding who likes the story and who can raise the funds. The best way to raise funds is to do face to face roadshows across Australia from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and to negotiate the type of capital raise either by a rights issue or a placement.

James project manages roadshows and capital raises directly with stockbrokers. Over the last 5 years James has successfully raised over $500 Million, including Sayona Mining (now Elevra Lithium – ELV), Lake Resources (LKE), Diatreme Resource (DRX), and Ionic Rare Earths (IXR).

Kosuke Nakamura

Based in Tokyo, Japan, Kosuke Nakamura is a bilingual (Japanese/English) communications professional with a track record of delivering outstanding client outcomes. His attention to detail backed with meticulous planning and strong industry knowledge make his public relations campaigns a standout in the media-heavy environment of Japan.

Kosuke has helped Australian companies navigate the complex regulatory environment of Japan, guiding clients step-by-step to achieve successful outcomes. He has also masterminded the PR strategies of a range of domestic and international companies across Japan and Asia, ranging from multibillion-dollar technology heavyweights to emerging start-ups across a range of sectors.

Steven A. Cleary

Strategic Adviser - ASEAN

Steven A. Cleary is a strategic communications specialist with more than two decades of international experience across Australia, Japan, and the ASEAN region. His expertise spans media relations, stakeholder engagement, and public policy communications, with a focus on international development, international cooperation, and private sector engagement.

Steven advises on international project development and public relations strategy for international clients in the Lao market, including the design of media products and policy engagement tools. This includes corporate registration, investment facilitation, and project promotion services in Laos. Over his career, Steven has contributed extensively to programs with JICA, UNDP, FAO, USAID and the Embassy of Japan to Laos.

Harley McKinnirey

Commercial Director - WA

Harley McKinnirey brings experience across corporate finance, investor relations and financial advisory. He facilitates ASX-listed companies on investor engagement, capital raisings and disclosure across multiple sectors including resources, biotech and healthcare.

Harley builds investment messaging, while managing market communications to attract retail, sophisticated and institutional capital – positioning companies for long-term success. Additionally, Harley holds a Master of Financial Planning, a Master of Finance and former licensing as a Registered Adviser.

Nigel Kassulke

Nigel Kassulke is a trusted strategic communications adviser, guiding national and international clients through complex interactions with media, financial markets, governments, and key stakeholders, including regulators. Renowned for his thoughtful, discreet, and reliable counsel, Nigel is a boardroom confidant to Australia’s leading companies and dealmakers. He provides strategic advice on corporate positioning, governance, fundraising, and reputation management, having played a pivotal role in some of Australia’s most high-profile corporate transactions in recent years.

Nigel’s leadership and teamwork skills were honed on the rugby field during his time at UQ, where he earned a University of Queensland Blue, representing the University First XV and later playing for Queensland under coach Bob Templeton. In 1985, Nigel proudly represented Australia as a Wallaby, coached by Alan Jones and Alec Evans.
