Noosa Mining Conference – Summer Edition

The Fensom Advisory team attended the November 2025 summer edition of the famous Noosa Mining and Investor Conference, held from November 12-14 in the beautiful seaside resort town of Noosa.

Hosted by Equity Events (Des Hall, Phil Dickinson and Amy Dickinson), the conference remains an important pilgrimage for the resources sector and a key event on our team’s calendar.

On the ground to assist Lake Resources, a lithium developer using clean direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology in Argentina, and Diatreme Resources, an ASX-listed silica sands miner with Major Project Status. We also had the chance to network and hear dozens of project updates from resource companies across Australia – including Venari Minerals, which later joined us as a key client.

Fensom Advisory’s Anthony Fensom also chaired a panel session focused on critical minerals, featuring Diatreme Resources and Lake Resources along with Andromeda Metals, Black Canyon Limited, Black Rock Mining Ltd, Galan Lithium Ltd and WIN Metals.

A big thanks to the conference organisers, clients and attendees who made the event such a success – we look forward to returning to Noosa again soon!

Turning Japanese

In December, our Australian team travelled to Tokyo to check in with clients and our Japan team, including Japan PR Director Kosuke Nakamura and a few other notable names.

Alongside this, our MD Anthony Fensom was elected Vice President of the Queensland Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QJCCI), furthering his longstanding commitment to the non-profit organisation and in strengthening trade ties between Australia and Japan.

Anthony has also been busy introducing a range of clients and projects to Japanese trading houses across various critical mineral projects, including lithium, vanadium, mineral sands and rare earths.

With Japan investing a record $141 billion in Australia in 2024-25 there’s never been a better time to engage with Asia’s second-largest economy. Talk to us about how we can take your business to the Land of the Rising Sun!

Going West – Fremantle RIU Conference

In February, Managing Director Anthony Fensom and Senior Advisor Thomas Lee headed west to attend the February RIU Explorers Conference in the City of Fremantle, Western Australia – a key event for emerging and mid-tier resource companies across Australia.

Hosted by RIU Conferences, the jam-packed event brought together a wide range of ASX-listed explorers, developers, investors and industry stakeholders, making it another valuable opportunity for our team to connect with clients and hear the latest project updates from across the sector.

On the ground, we were pleased to support our client Venari Minerals NL led by Matt Healy, while also following developments from a number of other key companies presenting at the conference, including Sarytogan Graphite Limited, WIN Metals, Yandal Resources Ltd, Terrain Minerals LTD and Canyon Resources Ltd.

Alongside the conference program, we were also pleased to meet separately with our newest biotech client Skin Elements Limited (ASX:SKN), alongside meetings with Iron Bear Resources Ltd, Octava Minerals Limited (ASX:OCT), Reward Minerals Ltd, Caspin Resources Limited, Surefire Resources NL, ADX Energy Ltd, and industry experts Paydirt Media Pty Ltd.

A big thanks to the conference organisers, Jaxon Crabb, clients and attendees, along with Spaces in Fremantle for hosting us in their offices, all of which helped make the event such a productive and worthwhile week in Western Australia.

We look forward to coming back again soon!

Client Spotlight

Diatreme Resources (ASX:DRX)
Diatreme Resources Limited has continued to advance its Northern Silica Project in Far North Queensland, with the project securing Major Project Status from the Australian Government in 2025 and drawing broader attention for its strategic relevance to clean energy and solar-linked supply chains.

Alongside this progress, Fensom Advisory continued to support operations through an assortment of investor, public relations, community engagement, digital media and filmography, where we delivered further on-site filming across Far North Queensland as part of the NSP’s pre-public comment communication strategy, including four videos produced aligned with the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process.

Ionic Rare Earths (ASX:IXR)
Ionic Rare Earths Limited has picked up speed with key developments strengthening its position across rare earth recycling and Western supply chain security. These have included an MoU with Missouri-based US Strategic Metals to support magnet recycling in the United States, admission to the OTCQB Market (with OTC Markets Group), a £12 million UK government grant offer for its Belfast commercial plant, and organisational changes aimed at accelerating global expansion. The company’s Belfast facility was also recognised as a Strategically Important Project by FORGE, reinforcing Ionic’s growing role in building secure and sustainable Western rare earth supply chains.

Lake Resources (ASX:LKE)
Lake Resources marked a key milestone for its Kachi Lithium Project in Argentina with the completion of the Ramsar Environmental Management Plan for the project area – an important step towards final environmental approvals expected in 2026. Lake is now focused on approvals, strategic partners and progressing towards a final investment decision.

Kachi is strategically positioned as a lower-impact lithium development using Lilac’s Gen 5 ion exchange technology, which supports lithium recovery rates of 95%+, 10x lower water consumption and 20x higher media productivity compared with alumina adsorbents, making it more environmentally friendly and efficient compared to traditional evaporation processes.

Natgen
Natgen has continued to expand its property portfolio, reaching $306 million in funds under management with 20 active investment and development funds as of March 2026.

Led by Managing Director Steven Goakes, the Queensland-based property fund manager has also continued building out its new General Self Storage brand, with $100 million invested in the growing sector. New self-storage centres have been opened at Upper Coomera and Southport, with a Brisbane centre at Park Ridge the next in the pipeline.

Natgen has also branched out to central Queensland with a $15.1 million investment in industrial property, highlighting its exposure to a range of property sectors and locations across the west and east coasts of Australia.

Venari Minerals (ASX:VMS)
Venari Minerals NL joined us late in 2025 and have continued to gain strong investor attention to start the year through their Red Mountain Lithium Project in Nevada, USA. After reporting a maiden Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 500Mt at 1,139ppm lithium for 3.03Mt contained LCE, the company later outlined a revised JORC-compliant Exploration Target, pointing to further scale potential across the project.

CEO Matt Healy has been on the ground extensively for Venari with key presentations at Noosa Mining, RIU Fremantle and Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Toronto in recent months, showcasing the enormous upside of its Red Mountain Lithium Project to Australian and North American investors.

Strategy and Internships

It has been another busy few months for our agency’s HR team, with Fensom Advisory hosting a number of talented interns across Japanese industry, business development, and public relations development programs.

To kick off the new year, our team – alongside Axl Gagliardi – attended a three-day strategic retreat on the Gold Coast, with special mention to Dorsett Hospitality International & Dorsett Gold Coast, where we reassessed internal and external risks, took deep dives into current operations, explored new business opportunities, and continued shaping our long-term strategy.

We extend our thanks to Axl Gagliardi from Bond Business School for completing an intensive two-month internship with us, and congratulate him on recently achieving First in Class in International Business, First in Class in International Marketing, and a place on Bond University’s Vice Chancellor’s List.

Likewise, Daehoon Ju, a Bond University master’s student, who joined us in early January and is continuing his extended four-month internship. Daehoon has shown strong growth through valuable insights into Korean, Chinese, and Japanese markets, trade relations, macro developments, and industry news, while also completing multiple program exercises at a high standard.

Our team would also like to once again congratulate Japanese students Satoya Matsumura and Yuichiro Akai, both from Bond University’s International Business program, on their successful internships last year.

Fensom Advisory remains committed to offering tailored student internship, mentoring, and observation programs to help develop the next wave of PR and IR professionals. We also sincerely thank Bond University for its continued support in helping facilitate these opportunities.
